Spectrum call forwarding codes and setup
Spectrum Home Phone, the Charter cable voice service, forwards calls with the star code shown above. Pick up the handset, dial it, wait for the tone, and every call routes where you want. Turning it off is one more code.
Spectrum keeps the all-calls forward on a dial code but moves the more specific rules, busy line and no answer, into the spectrum.net portal. That split catches people out, so it is spelled out below.
If you have Spectrum Mobile rather than home phone, that is a different setup, also covered here.

Open setupAll calls from the handset, conditional in the portal
The all-calls code above is dialed straight from your Spectrum handset and takes effect immediately. That is all most businesses need to hand the line off to a receptionist.
For busy or no-answer forwarding, where your phone rings first and only unanswered calls roll over, sign in at spectrum.net, open Voice, then Call Forwarding, and set the rule there. Spectrum provisions those conditions on the account rather than through a dial code.
Spectrum Mobile is not the same as Spectrum Home Phone
Spectrum Mobile runs on the Verizon network, so it uses Verizon-style star codes, not the home phone code above. If you are forwarding a cell line, use the Verizon codes. If you are forwarding the phone plugged into your wall, use the Spectrum Home Phone code above.
Spectrum is the retail brand for Charter Communications, so anything labeled Charter phone service uses these same codes.
After the call forwards
Forwarding the line is step one. Giving callers a real answer is step two. Route your Spectrum line to a NextPhone number and an AI receptionist answers in under five seconds and handles the conversation end to end.
It books appointments, answers your common questions, and records the caller name and reason, then texts you a summary. Across 1.4 million-plus calls, NextPhone resolves 90 to 95 percent on its own and forwards the rest to you with full context. Flat 199 dollars a month, unlimited calls.
