NextPhone works with every carrier. Any line that can forward a call can forward to your AI receptionist, whether it runs on Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, a home phone line, or a system like RingCentral. Find yours below for the exact codes, or the steps in your app.

Forward all calls and your phone never rings, so every call routes straight to your forwarding number. Forward only missed calls, also called no-answer or conditional forwarding, and your phone rings first, then anything you do not pick up rolls over. Most business owners want the second one.

The star code *72 turns on all-calls forwarding on most US landlines and Verizon-network phones. You dial *72, then the forwarding number, and *73 turns it back off. AT&T and T-Mobile phones use a GSM code family such as **21* instead, so the exact code depends on your carrier.

Turning forwarding on is a standard feature and usually free. Some plans meter the forwarded leg like a normal outbound call, so if you forward heavy volume, check how your specific plan treats forwarded minutes.

Usually no. Most carriers and landlines forward with a dial code you enter from the phone. VoIP services like Google Voice, RingCentral, or Ooma set forwarding in their own app or portal instead of a dial code.

Yes. Every forwarding code has a matching off code, and portal-based services have a toggle. You can turn it on and off as often as you like with no penalty.

Yes. NextPhone works with any line that can forward a call, which is essentially all of them, from the big mobile carriers to landlines, cable voice, and business phone systems. Pick your carrier above for the exact steps.
