CenturyLink call forwarding codes and setup

CenturyLink home and business landlines forward calls with the star code shown above. Pick up the phone, dial it, wait for the tone, and every call routes to your forwarding number. One more code turns it off.

CenturyLink has changed hands and names over the years, so these codes also cover Lumen, Brightspeed, and Quantum Fiber lines, along with the old CenturyTel and Embarq territories.

All-calls forwarding works on every CenturyLink line. No-answer forwarding depends on how your specific line was provisioned, which is worth knowing before you rely on it.

All-calls forwarding is universal

The all-calls code above works on essentially every CenturyLink line. Dial it and your phone stops ringing, with calls going straight to your forwarding number. This is the one to use if you want to hand the line off to a receptionist.

To stop it, dial the deactivate code and wait for the confirmation tone.

No-answer forwarding is not on every line

CenturyLink offers no-answer forwarding, where your phone rings first and only unanswered calls roll over, but it is only active where the feature was provisioned on the line. On some plans it simply is not turned on.

If the no-answer code does nothing, your line likely does not have that feature. Use all-calls forwarding instead, or ask CenturyLink to add the no-answer feature to your line.

After the call forwards

Forwarding sends the call somewhere. A NextPhone number makes sure that somewhere actually helps the caller. The AI receptionist answers in under five seconds and runs the call from greeting to booked appointment.

It answers questions, captures the caller name and reason, and texts you a summary as soon as the call ends. NextPhone has answered more than 1.4 million calls, resolves 90 to 95 percent without reaching you, and runs a flat 199 dollars a month with unlimited calls.
