Litify + NextPhone: intake that lands in Salesforce, mapped to Litify
NextPhone answers your firm's calls and runs intake. When the call ends, a Zap using Zapier's Salesforce app writes the caller into the org your Litify runs on, with every intake answer and a recording link.

NextPhone integration with Litify
Overview
Litify is a legal operations platform built on Salesforce, which is the important detail for connecting anything to it. Your firm's Litify lives inside your own Salesforce org, so the path in is Salesforce. NextPhone has no built-in Litify or Salesforce connector; its Zapier app hands each call to Zapier's Salesforce app, with your admin in control, and the Zap writes to the Litify objects your team actually uses. The AI answers the phone, runs your intake, and when the call ends the inquiry is filed with everything attached.
How it works
An inquiry arrives at 7:30pm. NextPhone answers, runs your intake for that case type, and confirms the caller is new. When the call ends, the Zap creates an intake record with every answer mapped onto your fields, plus the transcript and a recording link. Because it is writing into your own Salesforce org, it lands inside the reporting and automation your firm has already built rather than beside it.
Capabilities
- Reaches Litify through Zapier and Salesforce - Litify runs inside your firm's own Salesforce, so NextPhone's Zapier app hands each call to Zapier's Salesforce app, which your admin authorises and stays in control of
- Keeps existing clients out of new intake - the AI asks whether the caller is already a client, and you choose which call outcomes create a record, so existing clients are not filed as new inquiries
- Creates the intake record - when the call ends, the Zap creates a Litify intake with your questions mapped onto the fields your firm already reports on
- Runs the intake your practice areas need - the questions and their order are yours, per case type
- The conversation comes with it - summary, transcript and a recording link travel with the record so nobody works from a name and a number
- Answers outside intake-team hours - nights and weekends handled, with everything reaching Litify through the same Zap it uses at midday
It goes through Salesforce, and that is the good news
Litify does not run a separate platform of its own. It is a managed package inside your firm's Salesforce. Anything connecting to Litify is really connecting to Salesforce and then writing to Litify's objects.
That matters practically. Your Salesforce admin authorises Zapier's Salesforce connection, your existing security model applies, and the record lands where your automations, validation rules and reports already operate.
Every Litify org is laid out differently
Firms customise Litify heavily: case types, record types, required fields and picklists differ everywhere. Our team builds the Zap that maps your intake questions onto your fields as part of setup rather than assuming a standard configuration.
Frequently asked questions
Is this a Litify API integration?
No. It runs through Zapier: NextPhone's Zapier app sends each call, and Zapier's Salesforce app writes it to your Litify objects, because Salesforce is where Litify runs.
Who authorises the connection?
Your Salesforce administrator authorises Zapier on your own org. Nothing is granted outside the permissions you set.
Will it create duplicate contacts?
NextPhone does not search Salesforce during the call. The AI asks whether the caller is an existing client, and you choose which outcomes create a record, so existing clients stay out of new intake.
Does it need a particular Salesforce edition?
API access is required, which is included in Enterprise, Unlimited and Performance editions and available as an add-on on Professional. Your admin will know which you run.
