AnswerConnect Pricing (2026): The Rate Card Behind the Quote Form

Key Takeaways

  • •NextPhone is from $199/month, flat, with unlimited inbound calls and no meter. AnswerConnect bills by the minute, rounds each call up, and counts hold, transfer and after-call time.
  • •AnswerConnect's pricing page shows no price: it is a quote form (read November 4, 2026). A separate page on its site, answerconnect.com/plans-direct, shows a rate card: $350/month for 200 minutes, $395/month for 300 minutes and $575/month for 400 minutes.
  • •On that rate card, the 300-minute Growth plan is the one to ask for. Entry only wins below about 218 minutes, and Standard saves at most $5 a month after a $49.99 setup fee.
  • •One extra billable minute per call moves a 140-call month from $612 to $813.50, so your average handling time matters more than the plan you pick.
  • •Its site says "No fixed contract". Its terms set a 90-day minimum. On Growth, that is at least $1,185 before you can leave.
  • •AnswerConnect is a fair choice if you want a person on every call and your calls are short. Other sites print different AnswerConnect prices, none confirmed by the company.

AnswerConnect Pricing (2026): The Rate Card Behind the Quote Form

NextPhone AI Receptionist

Answer every call, book appointments, 24/7.

AnswerConnect's pricing page shows no price. It is a quote form that asks for your name, company, email and phone number (answerconnect.com/view-pricing, read November 4, 2026). A different page on its own site does show prices on the same day: answerconnect.com/plans-direct lists $350/month for 200 minutes, $395/month for 300 minutes and $575/month for 400 minutes.

That second page is not in the company's sitemap, so it is easy to miss. Here is what it says, what it leaves out, and how to work out your own month.

How we did this: we read AnswerConnect's pricing pages, pricing PDF, terms of service and help center on November 4, 2026. We did not fill in the form, sign up or place test calls, so we can't tell you whether a sales quote matches the page.

Disclosure: NextPhone is our product, an AI receptionist from $199/month, flat.

What does AnswerConnect cost?

These are AnswerConnect's own numbers, from answerconnect.com/plans-direct and its pricing PDF (file dated September 29, 2025), both read November 4, 2026. The last column is our arithmetic.

PlanPriceSetup feePer extra minutePer included minute
Entry$350/month for 200 minutes$49.99$2.50 a minute$1.75
Growth$395/month for 300 minutesNone$1.85 a minute$1.32
Standard$575/month for 400 minutes$49.99$1.85 a minute$1.44
550 minutes$795/month for 550 minutes$49.99$1.85 a minute$1.45
750 minutes$1,050/month for 750 minutes$49.99$1.85 a minute$1.40
950 minutes$1,325/month for 950 minutes$49.99$1.85 a minute$1.39
1,200 minutes$1,625/month for 1,200 minutes$49.99$1.85 a minute$1.35
1,500 minutes$2,025/month for 1,500 minutes$49.99$1.85 a minute$1.35

The list continues to 100,000 minutes at $132,950 a month, with overage falling to $1.75 from 5,000 minutes up. The setup fee on the larger plans comes from the PDF. The web page lists none for them, so confirm it.

AnswerConnect's plans-direct page, November 2026: Entry 200 minutes at $350, Growth 300 minutes at $395, Standard 400 minutes at $575

The price covers real people 24 hours a day, with no surcharge for nights or weekends. The PDF lists appointment scheduling, CRM integrations, call recordings and up to three business numbers as included, plus live chat on Growth and above. Entry gets "Basic scripting", while Growth and Standard get "Customizable scripting".

Paid add-ons, per the PDF: call transcriptions $30 a month, live operator relay $40, outbound follow-up from $20, phone menu routing from $30, Spanish call answering from $30.

Two limits on all of this. We can't say whether the page is the price you would be quoted, since the page sits outside the sitemap and the public path still ends in a form. And AnswerConnect's terms let it change "your plan or pricing on a prospective basis" with written notice. Treat the rate card as your opening reference, then get the quote in writing.

Why other sites print different numbers

Search this topic and you will see several price lists. These are reports from other sites, not confirmed by AnswerConnect, and neither matches its own page above:

  • AnswerFirst, a competitor, on a comparison page dated August 18, 2026: from $325 a month for 100 minutes up to $1,645 for 900, with a $75 setup fee on several plans and a 14-day trial. The same page's summary table says $350 for 200 minutes.
  • SmartSourceGuide, in a review marked last updated October 2026: $179 a month for 100 minutes up to $399 for 300, with overage of $1.75 to $2.25.

We found no 100-minute plan on AnswerConnect's US rate card and no free trial on its pages. If a rep offers either, that is useful news. Get it in writing.

How a call turns into billable minutes

The plan price is the easy part. What you pay depends on how AnswerConnect counts a minute, and its rules are specific. In short: Hold, transfers and patches, after-call work; chat and outbound calls use the same minutes.

Every call rounds up. The terms say "partial minutes will be rounded up to the nearest whole minute". The help center's own example: a 1:25 call uses 2 minutes.

The clock covers work after the caller hangs up. The help center says minutes include after-call message processing. AnswerConnect publishes no average for it.

Hold and transfers count. The terms say chargeable time includes "hold time and time spent patching a customer call forward" (answerconnect.com/termsofservice, read November 4, 2026). Time waiting in the queue before a receptionist picks up is not billed, which is fair.

Spam is free only up to a point. Only the first 30 calls under 30 seconds each month are free. Past 30, those calls start counting, and a spam call that runs longer than 30 seconds gets no exemption under that rule. With rounding, 60 short spam calls in a month means 30 billable minutes.

Chat and outbound share the pool. The help center says live chat is billed "using minutes taken off your answering service plan" and that "Outbound calls use the same shared minutes as your inbound call plan".

Unused minutes vanish, and overage can bill early. Minutes do not roll over. If overage reaches $100 in a cycle, AnswerConnect charges your card right then. That is 40 extra minutes on Entry, or about 54 on Growth.

Estimate your own bill

Pull last month's call count and average length from your phone carrier or current service, then fill this in:

  • Billable minutes per call = talk + after-call work + hold or transfer time, rounded up
  • Total minutes = (calls x billable minutes per call) + chat + outbound + short calls past 30
  • Monthly bill = plan price + (total minutes - plan minutes) x overage rate + add-ons

Here it is with three invented businesses, using the rate card above. Call counts, lengths and after-call times are our assumptions, not AnswerConnect's figures, so swap in yours. One-time setup fees are left out.

BusinessNextPhone ProAnswerConnect mathAnswerConnect bill
Insurance agency: 70 calls, 2:10 talk plus 0:30 after-call, so 3 minutes each$19970 x 3 = 210 minutes. Entry: $350 + (10 x $2.50)$375
Property manager: 140 calls, 3:05 talk plus 0:40 after-call, so 4 minutes each$199140 x 4 = 560 minutes. 550-minute plan: $795 + (10 x $1.85)$813.50
Roofer in a storm month, on Entry: 220 calls at 3 minutes each$199220 x 3 = 660 minutes. Entry: $350 + (460 x $2.50)$1,500
Same roofer, same month, on Growth$199660 minutes. Growth: $395 + (360 x $1.85)$1,061

Two things stand out.

The insurance agency has about 152 minutes of actual conversation (70 x 2:10), and it pays for 210. That gap is rounding plus after-call work.

The property manager shows how sensitive the bill is. At 3 billable minutes instead of 4, the same 140 calls come to 420 minutes: Standard at $575 + (20 x $1.85) = $612. One extra minute per call adds $201.50 a month. Ask for the average handling time of similar accounts before you compare plans.

Chart of the AnswerConnect rate card at 3 and 4 billable minutes a call. At 250 calls it runs $1,050 to $1,418, against NextPhone Pro flat at $199

Against the NextPhone Pro plan at $199, those months run $176, $614.50, $1,301 and $862 a month higher on AnswerConnect. One fair adjustment: AnswerConnect lists CRM integrations on every plan, while NextPhone's start on the $299 Growth plan. If you need CRM sync, compare against $299 instead, and the first two gaps become $76 and $514.50.

Which plan to ask for

The rate card has an odd shape, and it is worth reading before a sales call.

Growth beats Entry from about 218 minutes. Entry plus overage reaches $395 at 218 minutes ($350 + 18 x $2.50). Past that point you pay more for fewer included minutes and a higher overage rate. Growth also has no setup fee, and the PDF gives it live chat and customizable scripting.

Standard barely beats Growth. Growth with 100 minutes of overage costs $580, against $575 for Standard. Above about 398 minutes, Standard is $5 a month cheaper at the same overage rate. Its $49.99 setup fee takes 10 months to earn back.

The 550-minute plan takes over at about 519 minutes. Below that, Standard or Growth plus overage costs less.

For most small businesses under about 500 billable minutes, Growth is the plan on this card to ask for.

One more thing to bring to the call. AnywhereWorks, Inc. runs AnswerConnect and also runs AnswerForce, a sister brand with the same 90-day clause. AnswerForce publishes $349/month for 200 minutes, $389/month for 300 minutes and $669/month for 500 minutes. It is worth asking AnswerConnect to match. We compared it in our AnswerForce alternatives guide.

Cheapest published plan for each volume at a 3-minute average call, overage included where the vendor publishes a rate. "Not computable" means the vendor publishes no overage rate and no plan large enough. Prices read from each vendor's own pricing page, latest re-check November 2, 2026 (26 of 28 providers; the other 2 earlier). Full Price Index.

AnswerConnect's row uses the rate card above at the same 3-minute assumption: $350 at 25 or 50 calls, $395 at 100, and $887.50 at 200 (550-minute plan + 50 x $1.85). Its main pricing page is a form, so a sales quote could differ.

That puts AnswerConnect just under the market median at 100 calls and on it at 200, where the medians, with AnswerConnect now counted, are $409 and $888. At low volume it is expensive, because the smallest plan is 200 minutes. At 25 calls you would pay $350 for 75 minutes of use.

What you commit to before you can leave

AnswerConnect's site and its contract say different things. Its "why" page says "No fixed contract". Its pricing PDF says "No hidden fees, no contracts, no notice period". The terms say: 90-day minimum, then written notice; a partial month is billed in full.

The terms are what you sign, so budget on them. Three monthly charges plus setup comes to:

  • Entry: (3 x $350) + $49.99 = $1,099.99
  • Growth: 3 x $395 = $1,185
  • Standard: (3 x $575) + $49.99 = $1,774.99

Overage is on top. And because a partial month is billed in full, a day 90 that lands just inside a new billing cycle could mean a fourth charge. That is our reading of the clause, so ask.

Questions to ask on the quote call

Each one ties to a specific line in AnswerConnect's documents.

  1. "Is this the same price as your plans-direct page?" If your quote is higher for the same minutes, ask why.
  2. "What is my overage rate, and will you put it in the confirmation email?" The terms say your plan's terms are the ones shown in that email, so check it before you pay.
  3. "What do accounts like mine average per call, including after-call work?" The help center bills for it and publishes no number. This one answer decides your plan.
  4. "When exactly does the clock stop on a transferred call?" The terms bill "time spent patching a customer call forward". If you transfer often, this adds up.
  5. "Can I leave before 90 days, and what would I owe?" The site says no fixed contract, and the terms say a 90-day minimum. Get the answer in writing.
  6. "Will you waive the setup fee?" The help center explains that a waived fee still shows on your invoice with a matching credit, so waivers do happen. Check for the credit.
  7. "How much notice do I get before a price change?" The terms say "upon written notice" and give no period.
  8. "If you give me a business number, can I take it when I leave?" The PDF includes up to three. The terms we read do not say who keeps them.
  9. "Do my calls stay in the US?" The help center says US calls are mainly answered by US-based staff, and that receptionists in the UK and Canada may help at peak hours. Some businesses care, and it is better to know.

What AnswerConnect does well

Credit where it is due. Real people answer around the clock with no night or weekend surcharge. Queue time is not billed. Scheduling, CRM integrations, recordings and up to three numbers are in the plan on its own PDF rather than sold as extras. And for a business at 100 to 200 three-minute calls, the rate card is in line with the market, or slightly under it.

Which should you choose?

Choose NextPhone if your bill is what bothers you, or if volume swings by season. Plans are from $199/month, flat, with unlimited inbound calls, so a storm month costs the same as a slow one. It answers in under 2 seconds, keeps a transcript of every call, and callers can ask for a person and get transferred to your team. If nobody picks up, you get the message and their number in seconds. There is a 7-day free trial, and it is rated 5.0 on G2 and 4.8 on Capterra (reviews). CRM integrations start on the $299 Growth plan. Use our flat-rate breakdown to check the math, or see how switching works.

NextPhone pricing page showing Pro at $199, Growth at $299 and Scale at $599 a month, flat, with unlimited inbound calls

Choose AnswerConnect if you want a person on every call, your calls are short with little after-call work, and you can hold to 90 days. Ask for Growth.

Compare a third option if you want people but not this contract. Our AnswerConnect alternatives guide and the full cost breakdown cover the rest of the market.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does AnswerConnect cost per month?

AnswerConnect's own plans page lists $350/month for 200 minutes, $395/month for 300 minutes and $575/month for 400 minutes, read November 4, 2026 at answerconnect.com/plans-direct. Its main pricing page shows no price and asks you to fill in a quote form. At three billable minutes per call, 100 calls a month comes to about $395. We did not request a quote, so yours may differ.

Does AnswerConnect have a setup fee?

Yes on most plans. Its plans page lists a one-time $49.99 fee on the 200-minute and 400-minute plans and none on the 300-minute plan. Its PDF says the larger plans carry the same $49.99 fee. Its help center says waived setup fees show on the invoice with a matching credit.

Does AnswerConnect have a contract?

Its terms set "a minimum period of 90 calendar days", then month to month with written notice, and a partial month is billed in full. Its marketing says "No fixed contract". Budget for at least three monthly charges, which is $1,185 on the 300-minute plan.

How does AnswerConnect bill for a call?

By the minute, rounded up per call, so a 1:25 call uses 2 minutes. Billable time includes after-call work, hold time and time spent transferring the caller. Queue time before a receptionist answers is not billed. Live chat and outbound calls draw from the same minutes.

Does AnswerConnect charge for spam calls?

The first 30 calls under 30 seconds in each billing cycle are free, including wrong numbers, hang-ups and spam. After 30, those calls count toward your minutes. It also offers blocking for numbers you report.

Does AnswerConnect offer a free trial?

We found none on its own pages as of November 4, 2026. AnswerFirst, a competitor, reported a 14-day trial on a page dated August 18, 2026, which AnswerConnect has not confirmed. Ask on the quote call.

Is AnswerConnect more expensive than an AI receptionist?

At most volumes, yes. NextPhone is from $199/month, flat, against $350 or more on AnswerConnect's rate card, and the gap grows with call volume because NextPhone has no meter. They are different products, though: AnswerConnect puts a person on every call, and NextPhone is an AI receptionist.

The Bottom Line

AnswerConnect makes you look for the number, but it exists, and it is not outrageous for a live service: $395/month for 300 minutes is a fair price if your calls are short. The cost lives in how minutes get counted and in the 90 days you agree to.

If you want people on the phone, ask for Growth, get your average handling time and your overage rate in writing, and run the formula above. If you would rather stop counting minutes, see NextPhone's plans and what each one includes.
